website work
We’re back to work Monday morning until the present, 9:20 p.m. Dominic has been working on The Red Lion Pub & Inn website. This morning I made more photos of the pub (open 24 hours), returned home, downloaded them to my Mac, edited them then gave them to Dominic.
Then I resumed editing yesterday’s photos of Gumatdang. Three of us made so many with one of my cameras. So today I’ve been editing them and saving them for hours, plus editing earlier photos of The Red Lion pics and previous Baguio City pics…
I have been on the internet looking for personal e-mail, looking at my checking account online, hassling with Wachovia about charging me twice for one withdrawal at an ATM here plus a second $4.81 foreign transaction fee with that second, erroneous debit. I have looked at my AmEx account, looked at various websites to find help in reformatting the Micro SD card in my cell phone, looked at several reviews of the phone, reading features and capabilities, … I have looked at SamsungMobile.com and Samsung Fun Club and Smart.com.ph to see what they may offer (downloads, firmware updates, wallpaper).
I have read Baguio Directory, I have downloaded fonts to use in designing logotypes/insignia for websites, I have edited more photos, I have backed-up photos to DVDs … I have waited several hours for Dominic to finish The Red Lion’s web site so that we can have a dinner. I feel like I have cabin fever. I feel eye strain from reading this monitor for several hours.
At 9:53 p.m. Dominic announces that he has debugged the content management system that he has been using to assemble the website. Maybe we can eat soon then go to sleep and rest our tired eyes. Mine are fried.
Tomorrow we’ll reenter the world outside these walls and explore how we can serve the poor. †
