Sunday evening

Andy didn’t come from Aurora Hill to visit this weekend. But Nick and Mack came uphill from Baguio Gold to go to 4:30 Mass and to get the weekly allowance for jeepney fare, lunches and snacks. Dominic and I took the boys by jeepney to Session Road and we treated them to dinner in Pizza Volante. Dominic and I like pizza. The boys wouldn’t state a preference for Filipino cuisine in Solibao, Sizzling Plate, Andok’s, Jack’s or a turo-turo dive.

Dominic suggested Zola’s Resto/Café, which is too noisy with obnoxious hip-hop and rap music and patrons raising their voices to be heard above the music. The food is good, and the service is satisfactory, but the atmosphere is not relaxing.

We’ve dined in Gobi Mongolian Grill several times, but lately whatever I ask for is “out of stock.” The last time, the waiter couldn’t be bothered to serve us and I was perturbed. What is a waiter for? And my meal had a long Filipino hair in it. So I’m through with that place. It needs a new manager. Pizza Volante never lets us down. So we went there to eat pizzas. Afterward we bought a few groceries in Victoria Supermart on Mabini Street before boarding a Tuding Express. Dominic and I returned to Monterrazas Village, and the boys headed farther downhill to Baguio Gold to do homework.
