from Toby Tanser, founder of Shoe 4 Africa:

This year I start marathon running in Staten Island, do the NYC Marathon… fly to Africa, run through game parks, to Tanzania and finish on the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro!  The finish should be the start of the Hospital ground breaking – the first ever public kids hospital is Sub Saharan Africa.  Imagine today one in every eight kids dies in Kenya before reaching the age of 5 (that is virtually one for each household).

Ten years ago I was running on the African coast to save my own life.  If I had stayed there and had to use the ‘local’ help I would be absolutely dead; there was no antibiotics of anesthetics even in the medical clinic that tried to treat me (open scalp wounds). »→

We have the complete seasons of Dukes of Hazzard. Seasons 3,4,5 & 6 are all unopened. We got them but just really don’t watch dvd’s anymore. Seasons 1-7 sells as a set for $230 retail, so this is a steal!

Shoot me an offer by email and lets work a deal because these need to go! They’re better off with a collector or Duke’s fanatic! We will ship within a reasonable distance.

Thanks!

I have a gold 99 toyota camera for sale. clean title never wrecked. 126,000 miles. has no mechanical promblems but does have several cosmetic flaws. has tents and dings and would benefit from a new paitjob and detailing but still a very rilable car. im looking to sell or trade. i would preffer somthing a little sportyy but i will concider anything. i can add money to it if somthing more valuable. if interested in buying make me an offer all serious inquireys will be considered. thanks. god bless.

jolly good

Wrong, professor!

Farrukh Alvi, a mechanical engineering professor in Florida A&M University-Florida State University College of Engineering and the director of Florida Center for Advanced Aero-Propulsion (FCAAP), says that FCAAP’s new wind tunnel will generate air “speeds from Mach 0.3 to Mach 5roughly 200 mph to 1,500 mph.

~ WRONG ~

At sea level, in 15 degrees Celsius undisturbed air,  Mach 0.3 is 228 mph, Mach 1 is 761 mph, and  Mach 5 is 3608 mph, not “1,500 mph.”

So … will FCAAP’s new wind tunnel blow 1,500 mph or more than twice that speed?
