I wanted to register for courses in Florida State University.
When I clicked “Next,” a tan dialog showed up, asking for a $10 gift.
When I first act to register for a course, F.S.U. first asks me to give money to a
“program … which encourages and expands opportunities.“
And F.S.U. raises tuition 15% this Autumn!
I’m back in the Day Center of Panama City Rescue Mission

Today, two months after F.S.U.’s alumni association began to telephone me weekly to ask me to give money to F.S.U., I received in the mail a diploma printed by a contractor.
F.S.U.‘s printing office should print F.S.U. diplomas, and F.S.U. should affix its seal after F.S.U.’s officials sign the diplomas, rather than paying a contractor to make facsimiles of diplomas.
Incidentally, F.S.U. is so mismanaged that it must charge 15% more for tuition in 2011-2012 academic year! I’ll bet that at the end of the next academic year, it won’t print diplomas on parchment then sign them and seal them.
This vehicle registration plate arrived in the mail yesterday. On Monday I’ll renew my car’s registration (buy a “06-12″ decal).
The Rescue Mission removed the couches from the Day Center so that persons wouldn’t sleep, snore, and drool here. But persons sleep on chairs and on the floor. Click here for a short iPhone video from the Day Center.

The ‘smokers’ pit,’ loaded with a thousand cigarette butts, that’s outside the Panama City Rescue Mission’s Day Center, is so hot at midday that the indigent persons come into the Day Center to watch on television I Dream of Jeannie, All In The Family, Sanford And Son, Bonanza, and Gunsmoke. Every day that I use this dusty old IBM computer in this office in the Rescue Mission, it crashes once or twice (depending on how many hours I use it) and Firefox crashes once or twice.
I just love Windoze computers.
